Ex-Irish under 21 midfielder Stephen Dawson recently put pen to paper on a new one-year contract which will keep him at the club till the summer of 2008. Stephen learned his trade as an apprentice at LeicesterCity and despite captaining the reserve side he found first team opportunities hard to come by at the walkers stadium. Made the decision to drop down a couple of levels to help forward his career. His Stags' career could not have got off to a better start as he scored on his debut in the opening game of the 2005 season against Stockport.
