Local entertainer Chris Williams and his dog Ruby were at Field Mill this afternoon showing their support for the new owners.

Ardent Stags' fan Chris, from Huthwaite, told mansfieldtown.net:  "I've brought the whole family down to show their support to the new owners, including my dog, Ruby."

 "The new regime has to build from the bottom.  We have the right men at the helm who have Mansfield close to their hearts, so that is a great start. "

Chris has been a Stags fan for 46 years. He added:  "I've bought my Season Ticket and I am going home with a warm feeling in my stomach after looking around today and meeting the new owners and the manager.  In years to come I think people will back on this day and say that it was a landmark in the club's history."
